Well done to Edward Henwood ( JP2 squad ) for breaking – yet again – his own Club Record in the 12 year old boys age group 100 butterfly in an excellent time of 1:11.49 !

There will be no training this weekend – Sat 15 and Sun 16 January – for Performance squads due to Kingston Royals New Year meet

100 PB’s , 59 medals ( 18 GOLD – 23 SILVER – 18 Bronze ) and 1 Club Record was the overall result at The Royals Autumn Meet held over last weekend 20/21st November at the Elmbridge Xcel Leisure Complex .
We had a great weekend of 100 – literally – PB’s tumbling and some great performances delivered by all !

Huge thank you to our officials for giving up their weekend and supporting our swimmers and the Club by helping to run the meet smoothly and efficiently .

Last weekend – 6/7th November our Performance squads swimmers took part in the London Region Winter Championships held at the London Aquatic Centre , Stratford .
Huge congratulations to everyone who qualified and raced !
We had some really great swims with 29 new PB’s achieved and 6 new Club Records which were set by our youngest swimmers – three by Astrid Facius (girls 12 years age group ) and three by Max Morgan ( boys 13 years age group ) .
Both Astrid and Max not only broke Club Records but also made finals in most of their events in the Junior 15&under age group despite being only 12 and 13 respectively .
Astrid set the Club Records in 50 and 100 backstroke events in times of 31.97 and 1:08.07 respectively and 100 IM in a time of 1:13.10.
Max set a ” hat – trick ” in all breaststroke events : 50m in a time of 32.02 , 100m in a time of 1:09.48 and 200m in a time of 2:35.31.
These are absolutely outstanding times so huge well done to Astrid and Max !!!

Huge congratulations to Max Morgan from JP2 squad for being selected for the Swim England National Development Programme !

Two new Club Records were set at the last Long Distance event – the 1500 freestyle – of our Club Championships .
Ernie Hill – from JP1 squad set a new record in the boys 12 years old age group in a time of 19.15.55 and his sister Olivia – from SP squad in the girls 15 years old age group in a time of 18.38.12
