They will be heading off to Sheffield over the next few days to compete against the best Age Group swimmers in the country at the Next Generation Championships – Edward and Iggy ( 16th – 22nd July ) and then the Swim England National Summer Meet – Evan , Iggy , Josh , and Samuel ( 27th July – 1st August ) .

Well done to all WSC swimmers who competed at NUEL SC Joy Atoileto Memorial Open Meet held at London Aquatic Centre last weekend Sat 4th / Sun 5th July .
It has been fantastic couple of days of racing with 133 new PB’s and 67 medals : 20 GOLD – 31 SILVER – 16 BRONZE won overall by our swimmers .
Special recognition goes to London Violet P ( 11 years age group ) who not only single – handedly won 11 medals : 7 Gold , 3 Silver , and 1 Bronze but also won an Award for the Top Overall Female Swimmer of the meet .

Huge congratulations to William S . on his bronze medal in the 5km race at the SE London Open Water Championships held at Docklands Sailing and Watersport Centre last Sunday 5th July – what a fantastic achievement !
By finishing in the top three Will has automatically qualified for the Swim England Open Water National Age Group Championships and will be representing WSC in a 7.5km race taking place on 25th July at Rother Valley Country Park .

What a fantastic weekend we have all had !
Firstly , let me thank our amazing ” army ” of volunteers – both technical and non – technical – for dedicating their free time and helping out to ensure that we could run the meet as smoothly and as efficiently as we did ( despite few disruptions ) – you have made it possible so once again huge Thank You .
Secondly , well done to all WSC swimmers – there were some excellent performances with a staggering 551 PB’s achieved and 24 New Club Records set .

We were all very excited to welcome back our ex – swimmer Max Morgan , currently training at Reed’s School , a British Champion , European Junior Gold Medallist and British Age Group Record holder in 50 and 100m breaststroke events .
Max competed in a 100 breaststroke event ahead of busy summer representing Great Britain at the European Junior Championships in Munich and Team England at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow .

26 of our swimmers from Performance squads competed at SE London Summer Championships held at London Aquatic Centre over two weekends 25 – 26 April and 2 – 4 May .
With some great performances came some fantastic results leading to an overall tally of 16 medals ( 1 Gold – 5 Silver – 10 Bronze ) and 12 new Club Records .
