Well done to ALL our swimmers who competed over the weekend in Guildford at the Surrey Age Group Summer Meet !
We won 16 medals overall – 8 gold , 4 silver and 4 bronze
Special mention must go to Max Morgan ( 13 years age group – Junior Performance 2 squad ) for his outstanding performance in all breaststroke events : not only did he win all three but also broke all three Club Records with the following times :
50 brst 32.79
100 brst 1.11.39
200 brst 2.42.37
Max also won 100 IM in a time of 1.08.66 and came 2nd in 100 free ( 1.00.48 ) and 3rd in 200 IM ( 2.29.56 ) and 400 free ( 4.57.08 )
Another ” hat trick ” was achieved by Astrid Facius ( 12 years age group – Junior Performance 1 squad ) who was absolutely unbeatable in all backstroke events with the following times :
50 back 33.31
100 back 1.11.63
200 back 2.35.29
Astrid also won two bronze medals : in 200 IM ( 2.48.52 ) and 100 free ( 1.06.42 )
Our third multiple medal winner was Jake Backshall ( 12 years age group – Junior Performance 1 squad ) in breaststroke events :
gold in 50m in a time of 37.50 and silver in both 100 and 200m in respective times of 1.25.27 and 3.08.86
Last medal for WSC was won by Ernie Hill ( 12 years age group – Junior Performance 1 squad ) in 400 free event in a time of 5.08.58
