Well done to all swimmers who competed at the Sutton & Cheam Summertime Splash held at Westcroft Leisure Centre last weekend 15 / 16 July .
As usual our swimmers did not disappoint !
2 new Club Records , 54 medals : 18 Gold – 15 Silver – 21 Bronze and 131 PB’s were the overall results following some fast swimming and more than few impressive performances from the swimmers below :
Edward Henwood ( 14 years age group – Junior Performance 2 squad ) set 2 new Club Records – in 100 butterfly in a time of 1.02.01 and in 50 backstroke in a time of 30.22 and single – handedly won 8 medals : 7 Gold and 1 Silver – a perfect preparations for the Swim England National Summer Meet in Sheffield in two weeks time !
Rahul Bansal ( 13 years age group – Junior Performance 2 squad ) – 7 medals : 3 Gold – 2 Silver – 2 Bronze
Can Tetik ( 9 years age group – Development 2 squad ) – 7 medals : 2 Gold – 2 Silver – 3 Gold
Bastiano Atti ( 14 years age group – Junior Performance 2 squad ) – 6 medals : 1 Gold and 5 Bronze
Alex Filyov ( 13 years age group – Junior Performance 2 squad ) – 3 medals : 2 Gold and 1 Silver
George Harvey ( 14 years age group – Junior Performance 2 squad ) – 3 medals : 1 Gold – 1 Silver – 1 Bronze
Noah Hagberg ( 16&over age group – Senior Development squad ) – 3 medals : 1 Gold and 2 Silver
Alex Leuth ( 10 years age group – Junior Performance 1 squad ) – 4 medals : 3 Silver and 1 Bronze
Pietro Marzeglia ( 13 years age group – Junior Performance 2 squad ) – 3 medals : all Bronze
Benjamin Gussago ( 10 years age group – Development 2 squad ) – 2 medals : both Bronze
Single medals went to : Luke Curle – Gold in 200 freestyle ( 14 years age group ) , Declan Martin – Silver in 100 breaststroke ( 10 years age group ) , Millicent Baumann – Silver in 100 breaststroke ( 9 years age group ) , Freya Rosengren Harper – Tee – Silver in 200 backstroke ( 12 years age group ) , Zeynep Kaplan – Bronze in 100 breaststroke ( 9 years age group ) and Emma Gordon – Bronze in 50 freestyle ( 12 years age group ) .
