16 medals and 12 new Club Records – success at SE London Summer Championships

26 of our swimmers from Performance squads competed at SE London Summer Championships held at London Aquatic Centre over two weekends 25 – 26 April and 2 – 4 May .
With some great performances came some fantastic results leading to an overall tally of 16 medals ( 1 Gold – 5 Silver – 10 Bronze ) and 12 new Club Records .
Our medallists were :

GOLD – Nat H ( 12 years age group ) – 50 fly

SILVER – Mason Mc – D ( 12 years ) – 100 fly
Sam L ( 14 years ) – 50 free
Joshua O’D ( 15 years ) – 1500 free
Iggy K – P ( 15 years ) – 200 back
Edward H ( 17 years ) – 200 fly

BRONZE – Sam L ( 14 years ) – 50 fly , 50 back , 200 IM
Joshua O’D ( 15 years ) – 100 and 200 brst , 800 free
Iggy K-P ( 15 years ) – 100 back and 400 IM
Edward H ( 17 years ) – 100 back and 100 fly

NEW CLUB RECORDS :

London VP ( 10 years ) : 200 fly in a time of 2.51.41 , 200 brst – 3.20.15 and 400 free – 5.11.15
Oliver C ( 17 & over ) : 50 , 100 and 200 back in respective times of 27.60 , 58.35 and 2.06.77
Iggy K – P ( 15 years ) : 100 and 200 back in times of 1.03.59 and 2.15.90 respectively
Theo SP ( 11 years ) : 100 brst in a time of 1.30.27
Sophia L ( 11 years ) : 50 fly – 34.30
Edward H ( 17 years ) : 100 fly – 57.52
Giles C ( 17 & over ) : 50 fly – 26.31

Huge congratulations to all swimmers !!! It has been two long and gruelling weekends so very special thank you to our officials for dedicating their free time – especially on Bank Holiday Monday – to ensure the meet was smoothly run and all times recorded were valid for rankings .
